Import instances into JustLauncher
JustLauncher finds the Minecraft launchers you already have and brings their instances over with mods, worlds and settings. You can point it to a non-standard folder by hand.
Where you can import from
- PrismLauncher
- MultiMC
- PolyMC
- CurseForge
- Modrinth App
- Minecraft Launcher
- TLauncher
- Legacy Launcher
- ATLauncher
- GDLauncher
The launcher looks for instances on its own. If the folder is in an unusual place, point to it by hand.
From PrismLauncher, CurseForge, Modrinth, ATLauncher and GDLauncher an instance can also come in as a file — drop the modpack archive onto the import window.
What comes over
- Whole instances — the game version and the mod loader are detected for you
- Mods, resource packs and shaders
- Worlds from the saves folder
- Mod configs
- Game settings, the server list and OptiFine settings
How to import
- 1Install JustLauncher and open the instance list.
- 2Press «Import instances» and pick «From another launcher» or «From an instance file».
- 3Tick the instances you want — each one shows how many mods, resource packs, shaders and worlds it holds — and press «Import».
How JustLauncher differs
Point by point: what moves across, what you get instead, and where we lose.
If something goes wrong
- «Launcher not installed» — JustLauncher did not find it in the usual place. Press «Choose folder» and point to the instance directory yourself.
- «Not supported» — that build of the launcher stores its data in a format JustLauncher cannot read yet. Recreate the instance and bring the mods and worlds over as files.
- «Imported incompletely» — the instance was created but some files did not copy. Check free space and folder permissions; importing again creates a second instance, so delete the failed one first.
- Not every mod from a modpack arrived — older Legacy Launcher instances keep mods in a shared repository rather than in the mods folder, and those are picked up separately.
