JustLauncher vs KLauncher

Of all the launchers in this comparison, KLauncher is the closest to us: NeoForge, Quilt, a mod catalogue, a feed. There are few differences, and they are all in the table.

Feature by feature

Same loaders, differences elsewhere

KLauncher installs mods in one click, supports Forge, Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge, and advertises a catalogue of a million skins. The loaders match. The difference comes down to two things: how you sign in to the game and what happens to instances you have already built.

The same in both: Forge, Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, one-click mod installs, Windows and Linux.

“Not documented” means the feature is not described on that launcher's own site. That is not the same as it being absent.

How you get into the game

The KLauncher home page describes Microsoft sign-in. About playing without a purchased licence it says nothing at all: neither that it works nor that it does not. We do not know, and we are not going to invent an answer.

In JustLauncher an offline account is made from a nickname straight away, and a Microsoft account connects separately if you own a licence. If that is the deciding point for you, check it in KLauncher yourself before choosing.

Where KLauncher wins

KLauncher’s site lists more social features: a feed, friends, reactions, polls, a server browser, and a catalogue of over a million skins. JustLauncher has a community feed and a lobby by code for inviting a friend into your world.

What moves across when you switch

KLauncher is not yet among the launchers JustLauncher detects automatically. If your instance is in Modrinth or CurseForge format, drop the archive into the import window. The rest moves by hand, and it is a few folders.

  • A Modrinth or CurseForge modpack archive: the game version and loader are worked out for you
  • The mods, resourcepacks and shaderpacks folders copy into the new instance
  • Worlds move by copying the saves folder
  • From the ten other launchers, instances are found and moved automatically

How to move your instances

KLauncher is a trademark of its respective owners and JustLauncher is not affiliated with it. This comparison was put together from the klauncher.gg site, September 2026.
